Shalom Ted, I had a little look at the article you mention. Unfortunately some of the text is super imposed over other text making it difficult to read. I have a couple of questions for you just so I can understand where you are coming from. How often do you keep the Sabbath? When do you commence and finish your Sabbath? The article mentions the Genesis reference to the luminaries as signs for the seasons. This to me does not mean the moon alone. Can you post up some scriptural proof to back your claims so that us less informed can follow your point. No offense meant. Thanks.
Those are fair questions, and a fair question deserves a fair answer. Sorry about the super-imposed text; I have the same problem with the main page on the CreationCalendar website. It is better when you download the articles.
I keep the Sabbath every seventh day. I start Sabbath at the beginning of the Sabbath day, and finish at the end of the Sabbath day. Sabbath keepers do not use the moon alone, so I won't try to justify that practice from Scripture. It is the relationship of the sun and moon that creates the monthly cycle, the quarters, the phases, the dark and the lit periods. In addition, the start and end of the sabbath day is determined by the sun. So in no way could Sabbath keepers be considered to be using the moon alone, when Scripture says that both great lights together signal the moedim. (moed/season/feast-day)
I'm Levi'im,bro. My ancestors served Hashem from the beginning when Europe was still offering their children in sacrifice to their holy trees and Arabs were still burying their daughters in the desert sand.

Apart from your last name of Levinson, how do you know you are Levi'im? How far back can you trace your geneology? Do you accept tithes from non-believers?
The Hebrew appellation of HaLevi has been on our name generation after generation. My name is Chizkiyahu Shmuel ben Moshe HaLevi. You don't get HaLevi or HaKohane on your name just because you want it there.
If you really feel the inclination though, I'll take cash, gold, top shelf bourbon, livestock or a nice bushel of Georgia peaches LOL
If you can establish your descent from the tribe of Levi, I would indeed feel such an inclination.
How many generations back can you establish your geneology? Can you establish it through your fathers line? Failing that, can you establish that the female geneology was used according to the Zelophehad ruling?
Tribe is paternal so of course it is my father's line.
It is public record. Our family is in the registrar. I have neither the need nor the desire to share my family history with strangers; I don't do it with friends. My oldest brother is guardian of our family tree's history and it goes back name by name over 1600 years; past that is a bit skippy generation to generation from there back to the Second Temple days.Shlomo on here has a family history that goes back almost as far if I recall his stating so correctly.I know a rabbi in NYC who has family records dating back before the sack of Jerusalem. He is Kohanim.Personally I could care less if you take my word for it or not about us being Levi'im and as I told you, tithes are not in effect. You want to hand out your money, then go by the tradition of giving it to a charity in the name of a lost loved one.I suggest your local food bank.
Which registrar? Who is the Kohanim Rabbi?
