I agree with what you said as being I myself don't keep 8th,15th,22nd, 29th, which is causing alot of confusion. I persay understand the calculations, but I like to keep it simple, as Yah is not the author of confusion. As for philo, I don't follow his writings, as he is no where mentioned in scripture, the same way the pagan roman solar calendars (Julian / Gregorian) is no where mentioned in scripture, as being used by ancient Israel, to calculate Sabbaths, New moons and holy feast days.
There is one thing I would like to show...... When calculating 7th day sabbath upon the biblical lunar calendar. We are not supposed to count New moon as day 1. You count after the day of the New moon. As per scripture there are 6 working days per week and the 7th day is the sabbath
(Exodus 20:8-11, Exodus 23:12, Exodus 31:15, Exodus 34:21, Exodus 35:2, Leviticus 23:3, Deuteronomy 5:13-14)
As per the New Moon
Ezekiel 46:1
Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
According to this scripture 6 working days and of course the sabbath is the 7th day. As you see, the gate will be opened on the sabbath and on the New moon. Why is the gate open on the sabbath and on the New moon ? Answer: Sabbath and New moon are not part of the 6 day work week, as the sabbath is the 7th day, a day of no work. (i.e commerce)
According to Amos 8:5, New moon is not a day to perform labor (i.e commerce) Were not supposed to work on New Moon day.
So New moon is not a day to be counted as a work day, New moon is a neutral day. Work day 1 one is counted after the New moon day.

BTW (by the way) Tomorrow Monday Evening - Monday 15 is beginning of the month of Adar. (Esther 8:12) The first sighting of the New Moon crescent.

I agree, Tomorrow evening is the start of the new month, it is a day I don't go to a "job" or a store or a business, But I can do things that would be considered work on a Seventh day sabbath - Like cooking, carrying a burden in and around my home and start a fire- crescent day - is day number one , then comes day two, then day three, then day four, then day five, then day six, then seventh day sabbath.... "philo" did what you are doing, but the Hebrews did it this way that I am pointing toward, : New Moon Day (crescent) is day one, then comes day 2 , till day seven(sabbath), twenty-eight moon-lighted days. Oh, I left out something I thought I typed: Yahshua was seen late - toward the evening of the ending of the fifteenth of Abib and died on the thirteenth, he was seen three days after his death - but was dead twenty-four hours(three day and night watches) . Lunar Sabbath dot org is wrong ! Wrong about not counting the New Moon Crescent day as day one in the work week, we must count the New Moon as the First Day of the week, we do no "servile"-job-business type of work on this day - but we can do many works on this day -"work" - cooking, carrying, we can light a fire, etc... Lunat Sabbath dot org is wrong - "Wrong" :) The New Moon Crescent Day - is Day "ONE" - we are not to do any "Servile"-job-busines-shopping on this day, But we are allowed to do many things"works" that we are not allowed to do on a "seventh-day" Sabbath - such as : cooking, lighting a fire,carrying a "burden" of a "sack of potatoes" around our homes or any other necessary Feast provisions to cook . :) New Moon day is day one ! :) if New Moon evening falls on a certain day - lets say for instance- like this month : on a Sunday night till Monday night -- then next Sabbath falls on a Saturday night till Sunday night -- for the next four weeks . :) HalLeLuYAH PraiseBeToYAH

So, Yehmiyah, are you saying that the first week of the month only contains five work days instead of six?
And what do you do on days 29 and 30 of the month? Do you have a 4 day month-end instead of a 3 day month-end? Or do you work on the 29th, making for a week containing only 1 work-day?

So, to clarify, in your understanding, days 29 and 30 of the month are counted as days "zero". Also in your understanding, there are FOUR categories of day? work day, sabbath, preparation for new moon, and new moon? Do you also include a FIFTH category for preparation for the sabbath? Is there a scripture that references this "preparation for the new moon" type of day?
More to the point, what is your scriptural reason for rejecting 8/15/22/29?

My response is Exodus chapter 12 and Leviticus chapter 23 - for starters !! LOL :) It says : The New Moon Day is the begining of the Month ! First Day ! Passover - it says - is after the 14th is passed -the begining of the 15th at evening till the ending of the 21st at evening - the satart of the 22nd the Feast is over ! 7 day Feast ! yes we prepare before each 7th day Sabbath and coming Feast ! Isaiah 66: - says from one New Moon to another New Moon and from One Sabbath to another - we will keep in the coming Kingdom ! Distinctly different ! Ex.12 and Lev.23 - says the Feasts are "Like" the Sabbath - in the sense that we don't do servile work ! But we are allowed to "Cook"!!!!! and do other things that we are not allowed to do on the Sabbath !! LOL :) Besides there are numerous encyclopedia referrences to this subject and show Historical evidence-that what I am saying here -is the way the Hebrews dit it ! "Philo" - where we get the word "Philo-sophies" , because he came up with a view that was according to what "Jonathan David Brown" says ! He is a Philo "disciple" - LOL (a Hellenistic Hebrew) - pagan influenced-mixed with Hebrewism !! :) Let's do it YHWH's Way !! :) Love your Brother Yehmiyah Yisreyah CHURAN :) MessiYAH(MesheeYah-Annoint(ed-ing)-Of-YAH) - original Aramayah("aramaic") way of saying the True way to pronounce this word ! Yehmiyah, where does it say that the New Moon is a "day"? Is there a scripture that says that there is a "New Moon DAY"?
And why does it matter what Jonathan David Brown says on the topic?
Why do you believe Aramaic is the original language?
