Beginning A New Biblical Year and the 13th Month

Greetings to all;

I've just run a cross a little nugget of information that may prove very enlightening. I wanted to toss it into the ring here and see what you all come up with.

I've been restudying beginnings recently, yearly and monthly. I think I've got both of them confirmed, but this is a new aspect to me of beginning the year. It probably will require a little out of the box thinking, and then maybe some of you already have this figured out.

This little nugget requires the use of beginning the new biblical year with the 1st new moon AFTER the vernal equinox. This is by belief, but this new info only serves to confirm the position. Stick with me for a minute.

When you use the 1st new moon AFTER the vernal equinox, the biblical year automatically inserts a 13th month when the 13th new moon occurs before the vernal equinox.

This is the case this upcoming year, when the new moon in March falls just before the vernal equinox. My recent study confirms that a 13th month is needed before beginning the new year.

This AUTOMATIC insertion of the 13th month would eliminate the need to know where one is in the Metonic Cycle.

Alright, there it is. Now it could be that I have leaped before I looked carefully, and that's why I've thrown it out here, for you all to have a go at it and see if it holds up to scrutiny.

I'll be anxious to hear your feedback and input.

Shalom
Paul

Hey Paul...I indeed ran across this same information last month while surfing the net. I will go back and find the link that I had read.

Hey Dave;

I just some feedback from another person in another group who tells me, and I confirmed, that the same thing happens next year, a little over a year away. So I guess it isn't such a big deal after all. I'd be interested in the link to your info to see if it sheds any more light on this concept.
Thanks
Paul
