Confessing Our Sins and the Sins of Our Fathers - A Prayer for Ephraim

At this time as we prepare for Yom Kippur, I felt it was very important to post the link to this prayer that Steve Mathe composed regarding the sins of Ephraim.  It can be found on his Shaar-Israel website.  This prayer will be especially meaningful for those of you who sense that you are a descendant of the House of Israel, the 10 Tribes that were exiled from the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

Steve has wisely worded the importance  why we are to pray and confess our sins and the sins of our Fathers....  Without a specific confession of one’s sins and offenses, and those of our fathers, there  is no true repentance, and there is no return to G-d and His graces. This is the prerequisite act for individuals, tribes and the whole nation of Israel in order to participate in the Covenant-related acts Israel is to do.  As resurrected pioneers of early returnees of Ephraim from the Valley of Dry Bones, it is our first task to set this example in time and space and in  the fabric of Israel’s collective soul."

You can find the prayer at this link to the index page which also has other articles that tell us how and why we returnees need to pray a confession prayer.

It is very well written using all scripture in it's composition.

......for such a time as this!
