Julian Day Numbers Prove Error of Continuous Weekly Cycle

Greetings to each of you;

Hopefully you all are keeping up on current events, keeping your nose in "the book", and preparing for what is ahead. From the looks of some of the happenings in the world, it's looking more like the beginning of the end.

I recently discovered (new to me) and became familiar with an aspect of astronomy, calendars and mathematics that can be useful in revealing some things about Bible history. The concept is known as Julian Day Numbers (JDN). With this system, every day is given a reference number, and works either with the Roman Gregorian calendar (our current calendar), or the Julian calendar, the primary calendar in use from 46BC to 1582CE. The frame of reference for JDN is as far back as 4713BC, and for any date in the future. In other words, every day all the way back to 4713BC has an assigned number, and every day in the future will be assigned a number.

As an example of JDN's use, if you calculate the number of days between October 4, 1582 and October 15, 1582, the results only show that 1 day has elapsed. So the JDN system takes into account the elimination of the 11 days left out of the calendar in 1582. A calendar converter that will convert across calendar platforms is necessary to determine some dates.

Once I got a little familiar with JDN and calendar converters, I put it to good use. I was particularly interested in the crucifixion week, since that is one of the most studied and controverted timelines in history. It is also one of the prophetic and foundational pieces of the SDA church. Much of the debate and controversy around the crucifixion has been about when the 7th day sabbath at the time of Jesus was. Julian Day Numbers help to solve some of the mystery.

After a little practice, I figured out that I could determine how many number of 7 day weeks are between any saturday or 7th day Sabbath now or in the future, and saturday or 7th day sabbath on the Roman/Julian calendar at the time of Jesus' crucifixion. In other words, if you take two saturdays, or any two like days, one now and one in the past, and the results produce an even number, it confirms the continuous weekly cycle. Usually when you use a calendar converter and Julian Day numbers, it results in a total number of days between the two dates. One only needs to divide by 7 to find the number of weeks, and to determine if it is an even number for confirmation.

What I found was interesting enough to write a paper about it, which I've attached for your review.  Some of the information in the paper may be a little new for some of you that have little or no history of Seventh Day Adventists, their prophetic understanding and history, and perspective. For those of you that are not Seventh Day Adventists, or have no knowledge of the SDA-AD31 connection, the same principles presented in the article can be used to confirm other historical dates.

This article and other biblical calendar related matters can be found over on a blog I started at http://yahwehstruelunarsabbathcalendar.blogspot.com/ The paper is also attached below for your review and I look forward to your input, comments and opinions.
