New Moon

Shalom everyone!
The new moon was not spotted in Israel on the evening of December 28 despite clear skies, new moon day will fall on Monday 29. It should be easily visible Monday evening.

Thanks John! I think that this is a vital part of the faith that needs to be restored. Perhaps we can get others interested in this. Several of the local Roots of Faith folks went to a lecture last year. The speaker is a professor at LSU, located here in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He just happens to be an authority on "thin crescent moon spotting". I plan to meet with him in the coming weeks on a special project to be announced later:)

Cresent Moon sighted 5:14pm MST Monday 12/29/08 by Nancy Blackburn in Rio Rancho NM to start the 10th Biblical month

I spotted the new moon this evening when I left work. I called Dave Cole and he was looking at it when I called. We are certainly in the 10th biblical month.
