New moon sighted
Shalom everybody!
The first crescent was sighted in Israel the evening of the 27th and in perfectly clear and beautiful New Mexico skies we sighted the new moon this evening thus beginning the first of the 11th biblical month.

Do you know how this fit into the observed calendar used in ancient Israel?
