The Feasts
With the first of Aviv upon us:
Shanah Tovah U-Mevorechet!
Good and Blessed New Year!
It is a good time to glean understanding of all the feasts. We here in South eastern Louisiana (at least the group I am with) celebrate them on the Aviv calendar. We are in the ninth year of celebrating them publicly; as one of my dear sisters was commissioned to do. It is a wonderful time of the year and with the sighting of the re-newed moon last night we are looking forward to each and every one of them. As it is written in Mishlei 1 (I read the one each morning that corresponds to the day of the month) verse 28
"But whoso hearkens unto me shall dwell securely, and shall be quiet without fear of evil"
One way to read that is that if you decide to follow His feasts (and calendar) you have a wonderful promise from our Heavenly Father.
