Somehow I missed this thread . . . and comments section. If any of you are still interested in learning Hebrew, our own Johnny Powell, Yohanany, is teaching Torah Hebrew free, and we have three Skype meetings a week to prepare for our boker shabat Torah reading, (9:30 a.m. Central time) before SWW classes broadcast. Please contact me here on SWW, tell me your Skype name, and I will try to include you on our next Skype conference call. (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. Central time) Check out our website, https://sites.google.com/site/hebrewtorahreadingteam/home/ for more details.

Again if you will go to www.Hebrew4christians.com you can start by practicing the Alef-Bet & Vowel points, you can learn Hebrew grammar, pronunciation, and more than you can imagine. You can also order his book online. You don't have to be a Christian/Messianic/Noahide to use the site. You just have to have the desire to learn Hebrew. I am taking classes at shul and am way ahead of my class since my memory is kicking back in. But I still use Hebrew 4 Christians site to gain speed and for better dialect. I am also using our class book that is in block letters and transcribing it into cursive. That is a requirement of our class and the next level class also[Hebrew Prayers and Blessings]. Learn how to write in cursive if you are going to go to visit or aliyah to Israel. The fourth on classes we learn Biblical Hebrew using block with vowel points then without. After you complete the course you are able to go to the bema and chant the portions. If any of you live near Dallas, Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue has Hebrew classes every semester. You can go on their website for info. www.baruchhashem.com

Shalom,
I was wondering if someone here knows a little bit of Hebrew that can teach us? I have noticed that some people will use a little Hebrew when writting. If We can learn a word here and there it would feel like we are learning something. For instance, I notice people us the word "todah" alot. What does it mean? If everyone could just list what they know maybe we who do not know can start by studying that. What do you think?

Hi Ally,
I love your suggestion as well. I have to hear the word pronounced to really understand. I think that learning Hebrew is do-able at last. I know that someone will come forward (I hope).
