Seeing the comments here, I think a better name for this group would be "The Floors of Temple Sinai." :)

To be honest, there's a small part of me that misses the horrible lime green color.

I know i'm a little late jumping on the band wagon but I hate to say that I glad glad to hear the lime green carpet has come up. I did have a feeling that there would be a beautiful flooring underneath. i just wish that Dan and I were there to see it and help all of you out.

I have to say that the floors are absolutely beautiful! You guys were right! I was afraid that the floor would be in horrible shape but was peasantly surprised. I am now motivated to take on the restoration with your help of course!

Part of the green carpet is gone...John, Sherry and I removed a third of the carpet last weekend. we could see where the towers (see photo above) and balcony's support post where positioned..also where the wooden pews where placed prier to the installment of the carpet. And the floor was in fair condition. I can hardly wait till the carpet is completely removed.

Shalom yall.....Just to open this discussion, I would like to mention that Temple Sinai's interior has lime green carpet that was installed (this is a guess) during the sixties. The carpet was professionally installed and was of good quality. BUT LIME GREEN! Our on John Carlson has been granted permission to pull it out. We suspect a finished pine wood floor to be intact under this carpet....Hopefuly we will be standing on the orginal floor that the founding congregates walked upon within two weeks......just in time for Sunday Shul with Ross Nichols to begin his new teaching series. GOOD BYE GREEN CARPET!!!
