"Indeed. All Orthodox Jews refrain from touching their wives during the time of menstrual impurity and also separate their beds during that period. As stated in Leviticus Chapter 18, 19: "And thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her…"

"  Shalom,  I think that the source of your question is in an error. In your question, you relied on the translation of the words "korban chatat" (קורבן חטאת) as if they mean "a sin-offering". Unfortunately, this…"

Dear Friends,

I saw this site by chance. I was intrigued, because I've never come across someone who was interested in Studying the Torah, but was not Jewish. I really hope to support my curiosity and perhaps develop a dialogue on religious issues. A few words about myself: I am a 33 years old orthodox Jew. Since I was three until the age of 26, I spent all (are most) of my day studying Torah&Talmud. Today I learn and teach Torah, and write Torah articles in magazines and newspapers here in Israel.

I've never developed a religious dialogue with people outside of my world. It seems a little strange and not related, but my curiosity overcomes me.

I hope you'd be so kind as to accommodate my rude Interest in your beliefs and your community. I hope to learn a lot from you and perhaps find together new insights in the Torah.

P.S.

Since I speak Hebrew, and translate into English via Google, please do not be strict with me about syntax errors.

Thanks

A Student
