Billy, You are most welcome... and yes, Job holds many treasures! I find the 'pulling the thread' method of study leads me into many areas that I might otherwise overlook. It never ceases to amaze me how YHVH was woven the various threads…

Thanks for a very good study, and a special thanks for reminding me of Job 29:14-17; Job 29:14-17 14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban. 15 I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame. 16 I…

Billy, An excellent question, Billy! I must confess that I am certainly no scholar. I have heard that some ancient sources actually indicate it could be rendered that way. I am only beginning to study Hebrew, so I would have to defer that to the…

I have never attended and have several questions rather than a comment. What hotels or motels are available for the week and will there be a discount at any of them? Is there a central motel or facility that will be used for registration or is it…

Succoth 09 - Camp Meeting and Conference at Temple Sinai / Mary Ann Brown Preserve

The Feast of Tabernacles or booths, Succoth in Hebrew, is a seven day festival that is meant to commemorate a time when Ancient Israel dwelt in temporary huts or shelters (see for example Leviticus 23:41-43). It is one of the three pilgrim festivals. It also seems to point to a time in the future when God's people will once again dwell in booths (See Hosea 12:8-10).This will be our 3rd Annual Camp Meeting and conference during this Ancient Hebrew Festival. The past two have been incredible…See More

Billy

I'm glad to hear from you about our Learning Torah Hebrew group.

We have a personal lesson option using Skype (you will need a Skype account - goto Skype.com). The lesson will last 20 to 30 minutes. I will listen to you read when appropriate, give instructions, and assign weekly lessons for you.

My Skype name is yohanany_11918. Give me a call when you see that I am online. Or leave me a comment at my SWW page, including a time you would like to call for your lesson. I will make an effort to be available. Any where on the planet, I will try to be available to you.

If Skype is not for you, that's OK. We start classes at 9:00pm EST, every Wednesday. Join us at the SWW Chat.

Entry level to advanced, you are welcome to join one of our class options.

I look forward to seeing you in class.

By the way, are you related to Bruce Kimbrough. I know him from Central Baptist Church in Pasadena. I live in Pasadena, my name is Johnny Powell.

Billy,

You are most welcome... and yes, Job holds many treasures! I find the 'pulling the thread' method of study leads me into many areas that I might otherwise overlook. It never ceases to amaze me how YHVH was woven the various threads of the Torah throughout the Tenakh... into a beautiful pattern... a coat of many colors, as it were!

Billy,

An excellent question, Billy! I must confess that I am certainly no scholar. I have heard that some ancient sources actually indicate it could be rendered that way. I am only beginning to study Hebrew, so I would have to defer that to the experts.

Personally, I see this as a facet of the Golden Rule - I should treat others only as I desire to be treated, which includes loving them (perhaps even more than I love myself). To me the ultimate goal is to be conformed to the image of YHVH, and practicing selfless love is one of His character traits.

I'm not sure if this helps any...

Shalom,

Glenn
