Wife Patty and Two Children - Daniel and Jeremy. Independent businessman, long time (since 1970) student of religion, history, science and philosophy. Great lover of People, Music, Animals and Study. Have done business in Israel and recently vacation at Dr. Tabor's Mt. Zion dig. (Thanks James for the great time on Mt. Zion. All should support this history altering effort!) Currently helping to produce an album of Israel Tribe/Ephraim songs. Please contact if interested.

"When we blindly adopt a religion, a political system, a literary dogma, we become automatons. We cease to grow." Anais Nin

"All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom." Albert Einstein

Not to sound redundant, but if you can make it to Israel to see this dig, to meet friends and to hold this dirt in your hands ... "Thus says HaShem: "I will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem." ZECH 8:3.

My best friend, partner, wife, soul mate and the love of my life Patty on our vacation at the Mt. Zion dig. I love a woman who can dig in the dirt and find pleasure in studying the ways of HaShem.

Patty and I at the Mt. Zion Gate in June 2008. The bullet holes say so much without even speaking.

I will never forget the sacrifice of the six day war ... history changing.

Los Lunas ... what a great possibility. If interested in helping us on an upcoming project, please e-mail.

Patty and I own Tylerland Studios and have had the priviledge of working with the YMCA Creative Center for the Arts (YCCA). It is a program to take great jazz artists from New Orleans, LA and have them work for a week with young musicians (7 - 16 years old) and then record a song or two in our studio. We have had the pleasure of recording jazz greats such as Leroy Jones, Joel Martin, Seans Jones, Jason Marsalis, Topsy Chapman, Brian O'Neal and many others. Here I am with Jason Marsalis on the vibes...

RAMBAM's 13 Principles of Faith

I would like a discussion on these priciples.  Do they fit in the faith as you see it? I also would ask you to use your given or legal name.  Please don't tell me your online ID.  Don't be fake, be real.  I will not repsond to anyone who does not reveal there true names as they are hiding something.  Can you guess what that is?  Ahh, that's a rhetorical questions for those of you who might not catch it.  I look forward to any civil discourse --- The Thirteen Principles fall into three general…See More

Flooding and Prayers

Just saw the mayor of St. Francisville, LA on Fox News.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of those in the floods range.  If you are interested in helping please write to me.  I would like to focus on a few people we could help out. I can think of nothing worse than my home - after all I put into it - being totlaly washed away.  Everything gone. So since I can't help all, I would like to focus on a couple of families that I - or we if you're willing - could help in a bigger way.  I would…See More

Some Provocative Thought about the Fogels

What follows is some very powerful thoughts on the Fogel Massacre. My ire still burns, however Bradley helps to have some sane thoughts.I am humbled by the words of the Torah:To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.Deut 32:35A Funeral for the State of IsraelBy Bradley Burston, Senior Editor, Haaretz.comAll this week I've resisted putting something terrible into…See More

A Sabbath to Assemble (February 26) at Temple Sinai Synagogue

Thumbnail
February 26, 2011 all day
Several weeks ago, a few members of our internet congregation decided to join the local congregation of Roots of Faith for our weekly Sabbath Service on February 26th. As soon as this became known, others began to consider joining us for the same Sabbath service. It now looks like things may be shaping up for a fairly large assembly of people. People are driving in and flying in! It should be no surprise that the Torah reading for Saturday, February 26th is Va-Yakhel. The Hebrew means "and he…See More

Ephramites? ZECH 14:6-10

After many years of consideration these verses have a much greater meaning to me. Any thoughts or comments? Please excuse the use of the term "the LORD". Hopefully if you are in this group, you will know what I mean...if not just ask.

Zech 14:6-10

6 "I will strengthen the house of Judah

and save the house of Joseph.

I will restore them

because I have compassion on them.

They will be as though

I had not rejected them,

for I am the LORD their… Continue

My Trip ... So Far ...

Chris Christenbury - can't get more Christian than that can you? - Just joking - inspired me to tell my story - in summary form - about my search so far.

Let me start by saying that the "so far" thing is very important. I keep my mind open to all possibilities and would not ever say I know the "Truth". That we can save for G-D. So there have been many "periods" in my life that have changed me and brought me closer to the One, the only One - YHWH - whose name is Holy - who is the… Continue

Shalom David,
I just wanted to say todah for helping make the dig and trip to the land for Josh and Selah more enjoyable. It helped us back home to know that you and Patty and james were there to look out for them on their first trip to Eretz Yisrael. If you're ever in the southeast come by and see us.

Shalom David,

I know you are looking forward to you trip to Israel. Just helping work out the details for Savannah and Joshua makes me feel like I am going also. In reference to the trip, I have a question for you and I wondered could I have your email address. If so, please email me at tammyhulon@msn.com and I will contact you back.

Tell Patty I have the same picture of me on a camel. I had promised my children I would ride a camel when I went to Israel the second time. The ride I took was the camel standing up from a laying position to the camel lying back down for me to get off. I stayed on long enough to get a picture too. I just knew that camel was going to dump me off or bite me.

Since then I have actually ridden on a camel. Not the smoothest ride for sure.

We really enjoyed the music at the conference. Our whole family loves music, especially Web and the girls. The girls are constantly singing, playing instruments, or listening to music. We love doing the music for Shabbat for the congregation. Music, what a gift from YHVH.

Hag Sameach to you and yours!

Shalom, Tami

Great.....The question I have is does the mixer board you use have a record out jack and if so what type plug and so forth. Brian and I want to capture some of the original songs on video and a signal from your board will help us make a mix along with our mics.

Shalom David,
I would like to hear more about the Israel Tribe/ Ephraim CD. How close is it to being ready?
We have an Ephramite praise band called Yeshurun. You can hear a little of it on my SWW page.
Also. I think that I saw some photos of you playing at the UIWU conference last year. If you are playing this year and need any equipment we would be glad to help. I don't know how big a deal the sound is, but we are only 1 1/2 hours from Charlotte and own a decent amount of PA and all kinds of other sound gear. It is at your disposal. We can also help with sound duties if needed. Just reply to my SWW page.
