How come you have such a new car, Jeff? ;-D ...my '93 Dakota only has 220,000 miles on it. My Dakota would have a lot more miles - but I do like John & ride my bike to work on sunny days. On the days it rains I don't ride my…

It should come as no surprise to us when we hear of such things. The plagues of Egypt were a judgement against their false gods. As we know from the Prophets, idolatry always brought judgement. It showed the futility of man's thinking that…

Jesus Statue Destroyed

Dear Friends of SWW, I am sure you have all heard of this by now and am posting this to hear your views. I think it would make a great discussion for those in this Synagogue. What say you?   MONROE, Ohio — A six-story-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised along a highway was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm Monday night and burned to the ground, police said. The "King of Kings" statue, one of southwest Ohio's most familiar landmarks, had stood since 2004 at the evangelical Solid…See More

Symbolism's of Purim

This article from Kol Hator, is an interesting read.
Shalom,

Truth is popping up all over!
Just while we were defending the Jewish authenticity of the current Feast of Purim to some opposing 10-Triber interpretation, Stephen Spykerman (one of our KHT leadership assocciates) produced the following enlightening…

Nan I do hope you will join our Hebrew class. I am just learning the Aleph Bet. Learning to read. This class is different. After the first little book, we are then learning to read Torah, after I learn to read then We will work on vocabulary. Yohanny is no longer using the books He posted on the web site, He decided to just teach us from the Tanach, after the first Lashonee book. We are needing more people to make our Torah reading more fun, and then no one has to read so much. Think about it. Mary

Shalom Nan, and todah for the welcome. Just being awakened out of religion last May, its been an interesting last nine months. I came across Restoring Abrahamic Faith (do not even remember how I stumbled onto Facebook and the book) yesterday. I have not read it yet, but the very postings are exactly the things I have struggled with over the last 6 months. Things do not line up. I appreciate the welcome. we have not lived in Orlando but about 7 months. It is huge! I am from TN, we are lost here. Thanks

I will pass along your greetings to Jeremy. I pick him up at the airport in the early afternoon. We will probably get some fruit and such from a grocery store and then spend some time drinking coffee and getting to know one another. I am pleased that you will be able to watch us tonight. Reports from Jackson and South Carolina have all been very positive. See you tonight on line:)

Dear Nan, thank you for the invitation and I am delighted to make new friends on SWW. Many thanks for your interest in our translation of the Psalms from Hebrew letters to musical notes ( www.MusicFromGod.com ). These CD's are reported to be healing and so I experienced them myself, I hope it will work for you too.

Shalom,

Uri

I did not even think about going until the morning I bought the ticket.l But I have always thought it would be nice to attend. My Husband just died Sept 4th, and I feel like I need a vacation. I have been reading their literature on the UIWU website for years. I got the book{ Restoring Abrahamic Faith } in 1998 from a man I met on a web site, he lived in Ontario Canada, my husband and I would talk with he and his wife from time to time on the speakerphone. By that time I had studied so much and the Jesus thing did not make sense to me. But then I would think what if it is true and I will be eternally in Hell. I prayed so fervently for YHVH to show me, I went to a vineyard christian church every sunday and to the Reform Temple every Saturday. Many things transpired, when I got a hold of the RAF of James Tabors, I emailed Him and ask how I could get a copy since I had to return my copy, He emailed me back, which surprised me. I got on his NC college web site. Anyway he said I could copy it. He did not have any more copies, He told me about the UIWU, while spending a lot of time online reading I printed all the material on the web site for my husband to read. They were all printed in 1999. I converted to Judaism in 2001. I have since moved from Washington to Oregon to be close to my children, I needed help when my husband had cancer. When we were first here we went to Chabad , But since then I have gone to a group affiliated with Traditional Judaism. I like some things about each place, but right now I am spending each Sabbath listening to the services on SWW, I like to go to Oneg Shabbat on friday night. My husbands father use to talk about the restoration of the tribes when my husband was a boy. I will look forward to seeing you in Charlotte. Mary

Thank you Nan for your kind words. I praise Yah for what He is doing in your life. I know for me, I find peace when I simply submit to Him. After all, He's the Master of our lives, is He not. Whenever in the past I have tried to figure things out, it only brought more confusion. I am learning to discern His voice from that of fear, pride, etc. I pray that I am never deceived again. I pray that I will always be willing to obey. That's what He asks of us. I love the passage in Torah, Numbers 13:34 that talks about Caleb. It says:

"But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit in him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land where he went, and his seed shall possess it."

You can read the story in it's entirety if you want in Num.13. I'm having a problem with cutting and pasting scriptures with this Bible program that is on our computer. But, point being, this should be our prayer, that we would be like Joshua and Caleb in their level of faith and willingness to obey. We put down our self preservation way of thinking and being, and give Yah the rightful place in our lives. He's our Master, our Savior, our Rock, our Deliverer, our Healer...our all in all, isn't He. He'll see us through and guide our feet on this ancient path.

Blessings to you and your house,
Ally
