The purpose of this group is to discuss the research and work of Isaac Mozeson on the Edenic/Hebrew origins of human languages, based upon his book, The Origin of Speeches:Intelligent Design in Language (lightcatcherbooks.com).
Archaeology has advanced our understanding of the Biblical texts. This group is meant to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about archaeology and to discuss important discoveries in the field.
The purpose of this group is to discuss various topics related to the Quest for the Historical Jesus. It is open to anyone interested in seeking to understand "Yeshua" from a Hebrew perspective.
wow Oklahoma City! So your use to the big city. We went thru there on our Sukkot trip. There are a bunch of messianic/torah observant people in Oklahoma, including our close friend Mike Clayton, who has been one the 'torah teachers' we've learned from over the yrs(Joined to HaShem Ministry). In fact, Mike does a teaching called "Walking between the two Veils". It is really a great teaching....encouraging us who have come out of the christian church and see the beauty of living according to ALL of the Bible, to keep on the 'narrow path', like your saying. Sadly there are people who come out of the "christian veil" and then go behind the "judaism veil", converting and denying Yeshua as Messiah. thus the importance of walking between the veils.
thanks for your words. Yes, I can say that I have done a lot of healing from being kicked out of bible college, and have forgiven them. It is still hard when I'm around classmates or go to the Class Reunions, because there is the feeling from many that I am "lost" or even "lost my salvation". *making a face*
I think that these type of things prove that we are close to Mesiah's return! People are having to make the choice: do you follow God AND Keep His comands or not? There are several verses in Rev. that talked about the saints being those who "testify about Yeshua and keep the commandment of the Word of God"! So I guess we can be encouraged that we are "saints"!! *grin* Yicks! guess the scripture says it, but what a huge thought?!
So are you part of a congregation there in Alabama? It is exciting to me that there are congregations all over the world! I recently moved from MT to N.Carolina and found a large congregation there! Huge answer to prayer!
I'm sorry to hear about you lossing your job as a youth pastor because of your beliefs. *sigh* That hurts. It still is unbelievable to me how other believers can do that to another believer! I had a similar hurt 4 years ago this month actually. I was an Intern and RA at the Bible college that I had graduated from two years before, and at the end of the first semister when I said I wasn't going to be attending their Christmas banquet, I was called to the Director's office and kicked out for my beliefs. It is painful. I have other friends who have been kicked out of churchs (as the pastor even) and from christian ministries for their belief in torah as well. I pray that your heart heals from the hurt of it and that Abba opens doors for your next 'adventure'! *smile* He has great plans for sure!
Where in Oklahoma are you from? we have friends in Seminal.
have a fantastic evening!
