The Way of Torah Desert Retreat at Israel!

December 12, 2011 to December 28, 2011

16 days in Israel. Two nights in Jerusalem where we will tour the Old city and visit the Temple Institute. Two nights in the Galilee at a Kibbutz on the shore. 11 nights in the desert at Biblical Tamar just in time to miss all the "holiday" trappings in the US or wherever you may be. We'll be learning and celebrating and singing and dancing.

By "spend it with a brother or sister", I meant, do an over-nighter! Bring your sleeping bag, some gifts, or at the very least, some food. Or invite a brother or sister over to your place to spend shabbat. Why travel at all on the Sabbath?

WALKING HEBRAICLY

Shalom,
I am the wife of Web Hulon and a member of Beth Lechem Congregation.
I have seven children, Selah (20), Tzedi (18), Levi (16), Leah (13), Evan (9), Makhir (8), and Israel (5). I stay very busy with teaching our children, running our home and managing all the office duties of our commercial HVAC business, along with serving in our congregation (community) and being a wife to my best friend.

Walking in Torah has been a wonderful journey. My Torah awakening came when I asked YHWH, "How do I show you I love You?" He showed me the many scriptures in the Torah
which said "if you love Me, you will keep my commandments." Hearing this prepared me for leaving the church and following Web into the Hebraic Walk of the Torah.

I am a very practical and loyal person and Walking in Torah is a walk that has proven to be both practical and steadfast for me. The Torah amazes me with it's wisdom and ability to change me by making me a stronger and wiser person.

My desire is to live in the land of Israel with my family and my community one day and to watch my children grow into teachers and leaders in Israel.

I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully sharing what YHWH has taught me over the years about Torah, community, and family.

Children's Activity for Parsha Bereshit

Shalom,

Here is a Parsha Bereshit activity I came up with you can do with your children. I will be using it this Shabbat with my class.

What you will need:

Note cards or card stock paper (at least eight cards per child)

Pen or pencil

Crayons or colored pencils

Scissors

A cup or other circle whose diameter is approximately 3 inches

I hope you and Web and the "tribe" are all doing well. I am sorry that I have not had the chance to write, but I wanted to tell you guys how wonderful it was to see Savannah and Josh in Israel. They are absolutely wonderful people and so knowledgeable about the Bible. Unfortunately our time with them was limited as Dave became very ill. I hope to see all of you again very soon.
