I wanted to give special notice to a series of recent blog posts dealing with the "last days of Jesus" as related to both Passover and Easter. There is a lot here both depth and breadth, and I know many of you keep up with the blog, but just in case you have not visited lately here is a listing with lin…

I have just finished reading a book by Dr. James D., Tabor, who is chair of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte who offers a fresh, provocative and insightful perspective on the early years of the Christian movement. His book is entitled Paul and Jesus. I commend that book to you and to all my readers.

This morning France 24, the English language French news channel, broadcast a report on the Jews of Iran. Normally, France 24 is one of the best, if not the best, news channel on air. This time, however, it failed. (Having said this, they did have a representative of the Jewish community in France provide some context).…

I have published several articles of late in the mainstream press that might be of interest to SWW folks. They are all related to my new book, Paul and Jesus, but are designed to particularly address Christians in this Christmas season who might be open to examining the Hebraic roots of their faith. Feel free to circulate and share the links:
Daily Beast: Should Christian Celebrate the Birth of Jesus or of…

I have two new posts up on my blog that I think folks might find of interest, with lots of other links to read deeper if you are interested. I am convinced that the major factor in understanding Jesus and his movement is to get a thorough sense of what we call apocalypticism. As the "lost tribes" are the key element in the Hebrew Prophets, the element of apocalyptic expectation is the indispensable key to understanding John the Baptist, Jesus, James, Paul and all the earliest…

Attached here is the program for the UIWU 69th Annual Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina this coming weekend. As you can see we really have an impressive lineup of lectures and events here. Also it would be great to meet so many of you face-to-face after being in touch only via the Web over the past months and years.
I know many of our SWW members have thought about coming and I hope you will still consider joining us, even at this late date if there is any possibility of…

This blog post is long and detailed, but for those who will take the time I think it might prove quite enlightening, especially given the confusing discussion regarding the finds in the Talpiot tombs and how they should be understood in their proper historical contexts. Expect to be surprised, and perhaps to learn something you had not realized before. …

There has been some shuffling of dates between Discovery TV and Vision TV in Canada regarding the dates for airing the documentary on our recent discoveries by remote camera in the Talpiot "patio" tomb. Here is the latest and I think it is now final and confirmed. Please share and spread around your various social media, friends, and other contacts.
In the US, the hour long version of the film will air on Thursday, April 12 at 10pm EST on Discovery.…

Beginning March 1st and running through Passover week, April 13th there is a "two for one" sale on copies of my book, Restoring Abrahamic Faith. We are doing this to encourage people to give copies away, get copies for family members, or for those who have never ordered yet--an incentive. This offer is valid only by ordering through genesis2000.org or sending a check--see details at the web site. In other words,… |

I find it somewhat amazing that so many freely expressing opinions on the controversial Talpiot “Jesus” tomb and/or the “James ossuary” have not kept up with even the most minimum of the latest research on the topic. I find this is the case even with all too many of my academic colleagues, not to mention a host of others, most with an evangelical Christian bias, who regularly “trash” the idea that this tomb might arguably be that of Jesus of Nazareth. It seems…

This is the CORE Biblical message of the Holy Scriptures. This is truly the "Gospel," that is, the "good news" that is to be proclaimed to all nations, from the words of YHVH directly:
Is. 45:20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that carry the wooden tree of their image, and pray unto a god that cannot…
