Talents
Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What's a sun-dial in the shade? Benjamin Franklin
An endtime message for our world today
What does the parable of the talents mean to us today? Do we fully understand the message Yahshua was trying to teach those who have eyes to see and ears to hear? Please join me in attempting to understand this crucial parable; it could very well be a matter of life or death.
Matthew 25:13“Watch therefore, because you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Adam is coming,
From the start of this parable in verse 13 we see that this parable is prophetic to all mankind. Ask yourself this question: If you are not alive to see the coming of the son of man, when will you see him? According to Scripture there are two resurrections, the first to Eternal life, the other a resurrection to judgment. In either case once we have lived out our time on Earth, we will sleep in the ground until the coming of Yah’shua. Then we shall see the son of man! That is when he will have come for us. Do you see the impact of this? Do you realize that if today were the last day you are alive that this determines whether you will be raised to immortality or judgment? What you have done thus far in your life will determine your fate. If you were to die today, would you be ready?
Now is the time to understand what is expected of us.
Matthew 25:14for it is like a man going from home, who called his own servants and delivered his possessions to them. 15“And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability, and went from home.
We may be given a single talent or multiple talents, each person according to his or her own abilities. What are these talents? Lets look to the words of Yah’shua in another parable.
Mark 4:3, 8-9, 20
3“Listen! See, a sower went out to sow.
8“And other fell on good soil and yielded a crop that came up, grew and yielded a crop, some thirtyfold, and some sixty, and some a hundred.”
9And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
20“And those sown on good soil, are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirtyfold, and some sixty, and some a hundred.”
Yah’shua Messiah tells us in this parable that those who hear “the Word” are a fruitful plant unto themselves. The word is Yah’shuas messages, and the messages of all who have written and spoken the words of the Father to mankind. ALL of these planted seeds have the ability to bear fruit, but do they?
Matthew 25:16“And he who had received the five talents went and worked with them, and made another five talents. 17“In the same way, he with the two also, he gained two more. 18“But he who had received the one went away and dug in the ground, and hid the silver of his master. 19“And after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20“And he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents. See, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21“And his master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant. You were trustworthy over a little, I shall set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22“Then he who had received two talents came and said, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents. See, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant. You were trustworthy over a little, I shall set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
The Talents are “the Word”. These people planted their seeds “Words” in rich soil, poor soil, and by the wayside. Some never ripened, some ripened and withered, some grew strong and produced fruit as well. They sowed their seeds wherever they might to produce more plants.
Matthew 25:24“And the one who had received the one talent also came and said, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed, 25and being afraid, I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26“And his master answering, said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27‘Then you should have put my silver with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28‘Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to him who possesses ten talents. 29‘For to everyone who possesses, more shall be given, and he shall have overflowingly; but from him who does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away. 30‘And throw the worthless servant out into the outer darkness – there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
This person had the potential to create more fruitful plants as well, but did not produce seeds. The plant was barren.
Matthew 21:18And returning to the city early in the morning, He became hungry. 19And seeing a single fig tree by the way, He came to it and found naught on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” And immediately the fig tree withered.
Yah’shua uses the fig tree as a simple warning to those who would be fruitless.
John 15:“I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. 2“Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He takes away. And every branch that bears fruit He prunes, so that it bears more fruit. 3“You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you. 4“Stay in Me, and I stay in you. As the branch is unable to bear fruit of itself, unless it stays in the vine, so neither you, unless you stay in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do naught!
Moshe and Yah’shua are the greatest seeds the Father has created. Of all who have spread “the Word”, they have brought forth the most fruit, and the choicest fruit. Those who follow in Moshe & Yah'shuas footsteps, walking according to the will and commands of the Father, and proclaim “the Word” will bring forth fruit as well. Each person who follows the example of Moshe & Yah’shua will bear fruit.
John 15:6“If anyone does not stay in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7“If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. 8“In this My Father is esteemed, that you bear much fruit, and you shall be My taught ones. 9“As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love. 10“If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.
Yah’shua tells us we will bear much fruit if we keep his “Word” and his commands, which are actually the commands of the Eternal.
John 12:44Then Yah’shua cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45“And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46“I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness. 47“And if anyone hears My Words but does not watch over them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him: the Word that I have spoken shall judge him in the last day. 49“Because I spoke not from Myself, but the Father who sent Me has given Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50“And I know that His command is ever-lasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.”
Yah’shua once again tells us that when we listen to his words, we are doing the will of the Father. Those who reject his word will perish.
John 4:33Then the taught ones said to each other, “Did anyone bring Him food to eat?” 34Yah’shua said to them, “My food is to do the desire of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work. 35“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and the harvest comes’? See, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, for they are white for harvest – already! 36“He who is reaping receives a reward, and gathers fruit for everlasting life, so that both he who is sowing and he who is reaping rejoice together. 37“For in this the word is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38“I sent you to reap that for which you have not laboured. Others have laboured, and you have entered into their labours.”
Here Yah’shua is explaining to the taught ones that doing the Fathers work is sowing “the Word” and that they were to further this work, building upon the prophets and Messiah Yah’shuas teachings. He also alludes that the end time harvest will be a time of great rejoicing.
Matthew 24:37“And as the days of Noah, so also shall the coming of the Son of Adam be. 38“For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall the coming of the Son of Adam be. 40“Then two shall be in the field, the one is taken and the one is left.
Be forewarned that the day is coming soon when there are two who are in the field, one will be sowing physical seeds which bear physical fruit, the other is sowing spiritual fruit, which bears fruit unto the Eternal Father.
Matthew 20:1“For the reign of the heavens is like a man, a householder who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. 2“And when he had agreed with the workers for a silver piece a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3“And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the market-place, 4and said to them, ‘You too go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I shall give you.’ And they went. 5“Having gone out again about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did likewise. 6“And about the eleventh hour, having gone out, he found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ 7“They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You too go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you shall receive.’ 8“And when evening came, the master of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’ 9“And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a silver piece. 10“And when the first came, they thought they would receive more. But they too received each a silver piece. 11“And when they received it, they grumbled against the householder, 12saying, ‘These last have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’ 13“But he answering, said to one of them, ‘Friend, I do you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a silver piece? 14‘Take yours and go. But I wish to give to this last man as also to you. 15‘Is it not right for me to do what I wish with my own? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ 16“Thus the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”
This warning is for all who have furthered the will of the Father, furthering His message, spreading “the Word”. It doesn’t matter if you were Moses whose “Word” has been read by multitudes through the centuries or one who spreads “the Word” today. We will reap what we sow. If our יהוהgiven talent(s) gain more than anothers talents, it means nothing; all that truly matters is that we attempt to save as many of our brothers and sisters as we possibly can from destruction. When we do this, we can share in the celebration.
Share the Word don’t be shy. Those who are chosen, each have יהוהgiven talent to further His Word.
Many have spread the seeds of יהוהbefore us. Many have given their lives, many have been persecuted, many have been mocked, many have been stoned, and many have placed their spiritual lives before their earthly lives.
Poetry, song, evangel, persuasion, written Word, spoken Word, do you recognize a יהוהgiven talent in yourself? Search & you may find. Fear the taunts & jeers of the people of the world or fear the certain wrath of the Father.
How many people have we possibly left to die because we took no action, spoke not a Word? These lives may very well be upon our heads!
If we die tomorrow are we ready to be weighed in the balance? Are we confident that we have used our יהוהgiven talents to further the Father of all creations will?
Things to ponder, during our walk through this world.
John 12:24“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
