Completely in agree with your words, Deanna Joy, thank you for the 'eye-washing'...

In response to Sinai servant:  I don't think the New Testament has so much trashed God as so called followers of the New Testament have trashed it's true interpretation of the character and demands of God when in relationship with Him.  It's not the word that is wrong or failed, it is how people read, understand, teach, and live it.  I think another problem, which is natural, is that In Israel their relationship to God has been very real, as God disciplines them according to His word, for they are His children.  In America and western christianity there are many illegitimate children who God doesn't even bother in disciplining (we are not accustomed to thinking or seeing it as discipline, tend to blame the devil), so we don't see His discipline and blessings for obedience and fear of Him like one does as a Jew or one living in Israel.

"Everything that occurs comes from Him, and He is only good. But if you and your world are not prepared to receive such good, it may manifest itself as apparent bad. Struggle hard to see the good, think positively -and then the good will become revealed.

From the wisdom of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, of righteous memory; words and condensation by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman."

I would give it a try in washing the trash out of the N.T. I saw in a documentary movie a Orthodox Church priest showing a very old version of a gospel (I think it was Mark) that did not mention any crucifixion or resurrection whatsoever. I believe that the Greek gospels simply are a fake version of the original records. The Alexandria Library was put to fire and we lack the very original records of the matter. I understand there are things in the teachings of Yeshuah that are very useful for the healthy spirituality of any Jew mainly those in the diaspora.
Shalom

Great video! the Rabbi has a very direct response, yet polite and biblically sound. You say wash the trash out of the N.T. My view is the N.T. is trash. It has led millions into idolatry of the worst kind. Like other pagan religions, the gods come to earth as man. YHVH said He is God and there is no other.....Deut 5:7, 6:4, Is 45:15 and so on. You can not continue to waver between two opinions. This is mixture. There may be some good things in the N.T. but the same could be said of most so called holy books. We all have to decide for ourselves.
